�tt r FLUOR DANIEL GTI February 24, 1997 { ' { Mr Bob DeNmno ; The Southland Corporation 1 j.- 19033 West Valley Hwy , D-104 Kent,WA 98032 Subject Fourth Quarter 1996 Monitoring and Sampling Report Southland Site No 20304 455 Grant Line Road Tracy, California Fluor Daniel GTI Project 02070 0231 Dear Mr DeNinno This Fourth Quarter 1996 Monitoring and Sampling Report presents the results of monitoring and sampling activities performed by Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc (Fluor Daniel GTI)at the subject site (Figures 1 and 2,Attachment 1)on December 18, 1996 Activities conducted during this reporting period are summarized below ■ Depth to water(DTVII)was gauged in 11 groundwater monitoring wells and two groundwater extraction wells(Figure 2) I ■ Groundwater samples were collected from 13 wells MW-1 through MW-6, MW-8 through MW-11, MW-15, GWE-2, and GWE-3, and submitted to a certified laboratory for analysis for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX), methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE), and total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPH-G) Groundwater Monitoring Data Groundwater monitoring was performed on December 18, 1996 Prior to monitoring, the well caps were- opened to allow the water level in each well to stabilize to atmospheric pressure The DTW was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top of the well casing using an ORS Environmental Equipment INTERFACE PROBE Well Monitoring System Separate-phase hydrocarbons were not detected in any of the monitoring wells The water table elevations, calculated from the December 18, 1996 monitoring data, were used to prepare a potentiometric surface map (Figure 2) The groundwater flow is generally toward the east/northeast at a hydraulic gradient ranging from 0 007 ft/ft to 0 003 ft/ft Locally, the groundwater gradient is toward the active groundwater extraction well when the system is operating The system was not operating continuously during this,monitoring and sampling event Groundwater monitoring results from the p2310496 RPT(STEEL-5 1) 1401 Halyard Drive, Suite 140 / West Sacramento, CA 95691 USA (916) 372-4700 FAX(916) 372-8781
