�tt <br /> r <br /> FLUOR DANIEL GTI <br /> February 24, 1997 { ' { <br /> Mr Bob DeNmno ; <br /> The Southland Corporation 1 j.- <br /> 19033 West Valley Hwy , D-104 <br /> Kent,WA 98032 <br /> Subject Fourth Quarter 1996 Monitoring and Sampling Report <br /> Southland Site No 20304 <br /> 455 Grant Line Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI Project 02070 0231 <br /> Dear Mr DeNinno <br /> This Fourth Quarter 1996 Monitoring and Sampling Report presents the results of monitoring and <br /> sampling activities performed by Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc (Fluor Daniel GTI)at the subject site (Figures 1 <br /> and 2,Attachment 1)on December 18, 1996 Activities conducted during this reporting period are <br /> summarized below <br /> ■ Depth to water(DTVII)was gauged in 11 groundwater monitoring wells and two <br /> groundwater extraction wells(Figure 2) <br /> I <br /> ■ Groundwater samples were collected from 13 wells MW-1 through MW-6, MW-8 through <br /> MW-11, MW-15, GWE-2, and GWE-3, and submitted to a certified laboratory for analysis <br /> for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX), methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE), <br /> and total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPH-G) <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Data <br /> Groundwater monitoring was performed on December 18, 1996 Prior to monitoring, the well caps were- <br /> opened to allow the water level in each well to stabilize to atmospheric pressure The DTW was <br /> measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top of the well casing using an ORS Environmental Equipment <br /> INTERFACE PROBE Well Monitoring System <br /> Separate-phase hydrocarbons were not detected in any of the monitoring wells The water table <br /> elevations, calculated from the December 18, 1996 monitoring data, were used to prepare a <br /> potentiometric surface map (Figure 2) The groundwater flow is generally toward the east/northeast at a <br /> hydraulic gradient ranging from 0 007 ft/ft to 0 003 ft/ft Locally, the groundwater gradient is toward the <br /> active groundwater extraction well when the system is operating The system was not operating <br /> continuously during this,monitoring and sampling event Groundwater monitoring results from the <br /> p2310496 RPT(STEEL-5 1) <br /> 1401 Halyard Drive, Suite 140 / West Sacramento, CA 95691 USA (916) 372-4700 FAX(916) 372-8781 <br />
