During the most recent monitoring event, no gasoline hydrocarbons
(including BTEX)'were detected in monitoring.well:OW-2 located within 10 feet and in the
downgradie'nt direction of the former tank location. Thegroundwater flow direction
remained consistent with previous-monitoring events.
During the four consecutive quarters of groundwater monitoring, only benzene(at a
concentration below the drinking water standard of 1.ppb)was detected,on one occasion, in
monitoring well OW-2. No other analytes were detected during the past year. Per your '
recommendation,PG&E discontinued monitoring the water quality at all well locations
except OW-2 in August 1995, because.the other monitoring wells consistently provided.-
groundwater samples free of all gasoline hydrocarbons. 1
In light of-the last year of groundwater monitoring data,PG&E requests closure of this.
tank project. Please contact me at(510) 86.6-5888 at your earliest convenience to discuss
this site.
Sincerely, .,
C
Eric Johnso
Environmental Engineer,REA
Enclosure
