The purpose of the sampling program is to continue the
evaluation of the groundwater quality near the site of a former underground gasoline tank
SUMMARY
Static groundwater levels measured in monitoring wells OW-1 through OW-6 ranged from 8 29
to 8 80 feet below the tops of the well casings (Table 1) On August 8, 1995 the direction of
the shallow groundwater flow in the vicinity of the former tank location was north-northeast,
with a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 004 ft/ft (Figure 1)
Duplicate groundwater samples were collected from well OW-2 and submitted to Sequoia
Analytical (ELAP #1210) located in Redwood City, California for analysis of total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX)
OW-2 contained benzene at concentrations of 0 58 ug/L and contained no detectable
concentrations of TPHg, toluene, ethyl benzene, or xylenes The duplicate sample of OW-2
1599061QRTERLYI3QR-1995 doe 1
•
