V
benzene, and MTBE isoconcentration maps are presented as Figures 3, 4,
and 5, respectively.
4.0 CONCLUSIONS
The groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW-1 contained
63 parts per billion (ppb) methyl-tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE). The
ground- atcr samples collected from monitoring well 14W-2 contained
4.800 ppb TPH-G, 330 ppb benzene, 330 ppb toluene, 250 ppb ethyl
benzene, 720 ppb total xylenes, 5,300 ppb MTBE, 15 ppb tert-amyl-
methyl-ether (TAME), and 900 ppb TBA. The groundwater samples
collected from monitoring well MW-3 contained 1.5 ppb MTBE.
Groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW-4 contained
810 ppb TPH-G, 49 ppb benzene, 29 ppb ethyl benzene, 0.93 total xylenes,
290 ppb MTBE, 22 ppb TAME, and 9 ppb TBA. Groundwater samples
collected from monitoring well MW-5 contained 510 ppb TPH-G, 33 p p b
MTBE, and 25 ppb TBA. No other hydrocarbons were detected above
laboratory reporting limits in any of the groundwater samples collected.
Concentrations of all compounds detected in the groundwater sample
collected from MW-2, and the majority of the compounds detected in
groundwater samples collected from MW-4, increased from the previous
quarter's results. Analytical data from the remaining wells did not show
any clear trends.
5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
ASE recommends the subject site remain on a quarterly sampling
schedule. The next scheduled sampling is scheduled for January 2001.
6.0 REPORT LIMITATIONS
The results presented in this report represent the conditions at the time
of the groundwater sampling, at the specific locations where the
groundwater samples were collected, and for the specific parameters
analyzed by the laboratory. It does not fully characterize the site for
contamination resulting from sources other than the former underground
storage tanks and associated plumbing at the site, or for parameters n o t
analyzed by the laboratory. All of the laboratory work cited in this report
was prepared under the direction of independent CAL-EPA certified
laboratory. The independent laboratory is solely responsible for the
.. contents and conclusions of the chemical analysis data.
Singh's Unical Service Station Quarterly Report - October 2001 Sampling
-3-
