t <br /> 3 ) Drill two (2) soil borings at the site to approximately 100-feet bgs <br /> using a cone penetrometer testing (CPT) drill rig (Figure 3). Collect <br /> a capillary zone soil sample and discrete depth groundwater samples <br /> from each soil boring. 1 <br /> 4 ) Analyze one (1) soil sample from each boring and up to three <br /> discrete depth groundwater samples from each boring at a CALrEPA <br /> certified analytical laboratory for TPH-G, benzene, toluene, ethyl <br /> benzene and total xylenes (collectively known as BTEX), the fuel a <br />{ oxygenates MTBE, TBA, TAME, DIPE and ETBE, the lead scavengers <br /> 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (1,2-EDB), <br /> and the alcohols ethanol and methanol by EPA Method 8260. <br /> f <br /> 5 ) Drill five soil borings to a depth of no greater than 20-feet bgs and <br /> install a groundwater monitoring well in each boring. <br /> 6 ) Analyze two soil samples collected from each boring described in <br />' task 5 for TPH-G, BTEX, the fuel oxygenates MTBE, TBA, TAME, DIPE <br />! and ETBE, the lead scavengers 1,2-DCA and 1,2-EDB, and the alcohols <br /> ethanol and methanol by EPA Method 8260. <br /> C-/ 7 ) Develop each monitoring well. <br /> 8 ) Collect groundwater samples from each monitoring well f or <br /> analyses. <br /> 9 ) Analyze the groundwater samples at a CAL EPA certified , <br /> environmental laboratory for TPH-G, BTEX, the fuel oxygenates <br /> MTBE, TBA, TAME, DIPE and ETBE, the lead scavengers 1,2-DCA a n d <br /> 1,2-EDB, and the alcohols ethanol and methanol by EPA Method <br /> 8260. <br /> 1 0) Survey the top of casing elevation of each well, and determine the , <br /> groundwater flow direction and gradient beneath the site. <br /> E <br /> 1 1 ) Prepare a report detailing the methods and findings of the soil and I <br /> groundwater assessment. j <br /> Details of the assessment are presented below. <br /> 574 West Grant <br /> Line Road Report p October 2000 <br /> 3 ` <br /> Y } <br />
