INCORPORATED 3017 Kilgore Road,Suite 100 <br /> Rancho Cordova,CA 95670 <br /> ` • 816-8610400 TEL <br /> 916-861--0430 FAX <br /> December 12, 2003 4 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan RE <br /> �E(]VrD <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department �J <br /> 304 East Weber Street, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 D E C 15 2403 <br /> RE Site Assessment Report ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> 7-Eleven Store#32262 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 2560 West Grant Line Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> SECOR Project No 77EL 32262 03 0502 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> This report was prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR), on behalf of 7-Eleven Inc , <br /> to document the installation of six groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-5, and MW-6D) <br /> at 7-Eleven store number 32262, located at 2560 West Grant Line Road in Tracy, California (Figures <br /> 1 and 2) The report was prepared in response to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) letter dated May 29, 2003, requesting lateral and vertical definition of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater(Attachment A) <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The site is currently an operating 7-Eleven convenience store and gasoline station Two 10,000- # <br /> gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) and one 15,000-gallon UST are located In the <br /> southeastern portion of the property (Figure 2) <br /> The scope of work summarized In this report was proposed in SECOR's Soil and Groundwater <br /> Assessment Work Plan, dated August 12, 2003, and addenda dated September 10 and October 1, <br /> 2003 The SJCEHD approved the proposed scope of work in letters dated August 22, September <br /> 22, and October 8, 2003 (Attachment A) <br /> The work summarized In this report includes <br /> 1 Obtaining permits and preparing a health and safety plan <br /> 2 Clearing six boring locations using Underground Service Alert (USA) and a private utility <br /> locator <br /> 3 Drilling and sampling six hollow-stem auger soil borings <br /> 4 Installing six groundwater monitoring wells <br /> 5 Developing and sampling the new wells <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> In 1997, Fluor Daniel GTI conducted a Phase I assessment at the site On August 5, 1997, a Phase <br /> II subsurface investigation was performed No detectable concentrations of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, or pesticides were found on-site A Phase I <br /> addendum was submitted by IT Corporation on September 27, 1999 <br /> Under the direction of a SJCEHD representative, ten soil samples were collected on May 2 and 3, 5 <br /> 2003, beneath the product lines (L1 through L4) and dispensers (D1 through D6) at depths between <br /> 3 5 feet and 4 5 feet below ground surface (bgs) The soil samples collected did not contain total 'Y <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) or benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, or total xylenes , <br /> (BTEX) above laboratory reporting limits Maximum reported concentrations of methyl-tert-butyl aL <br /> I W-Elevenl7 11 Stores1322621Reports132262 Assessment Report doc { <br />
