C <br /> n� k <br /> f. <br /> May 1, 2003 <br /> Page 2 <br /> GRASP WELL INSTALLATION <br /> On January 27 & 28, 2003, KHM supervised the drilling and installation of four <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) Well locations are shown on <br /> Figure 2 KHM obtained a well permit from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department to install these wells (Appendix A) Well construction details are displayed in <br /> the boring logs presented in Appendix B Well development sheets are included m <br /> Appendix C Site survey data is included as Appendix D' <br /> ANALYTICAL FINDINGS <br /> ESoil samples were collected during the drilling.of site wells and were analyzed with a <br /> photoionization detector (PID) for,the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons at levels greater <br /> than 10 parts per million None of the soil samples analyzed exhibited PID readings above <br /> 10 parts per million, and no samples were submitted to a testing laboratory for further <br /> analysis <br /> After well development, on March 7, 2003 the monitoring wells were sampled and <br /> analyzed for chemical impacts Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE)was detected m all four <br /> monitoring wells on site Well MW-1 contained the maximum concentration at 730 <br /> micrograms per liter (pg/1) Groundwater analytical data is summarized in Table 1 and <br /> 4 presented in Figure 3 A groundwater elevation contour map is presented as Figure 2 <br /> Well gauging data sheets are included in Appendix E Certified analytical results and chain- <br /> of-custody documentation for groundwater are presented in Appendix F <br /> UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE REPORT <br /> The previously submitted Unauthorized Release Report dated March 25, 2003 is included <br /> as Appendix G for your reference <br /> I <br />
