If
we want to stop vacops, we will need to make a formal argument.in a CAP using site data, mass flux talcs, and
WTC input to push for monitored natural attenuation. We do not have vacops budgeted for 2007 as the original
plan was to stop during 2006. 'I will need to add money in for continued monthly vacops. I can add in for 3 to 6
months and also budget for and prepare a CAP so we can make the formal argument.
Let me know how to proceed.
Thanks,
Mike
Mike Murphy
Senior Project Scientist
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
19449 Riverside Drive, Suite 230 <---------- NEW ADDRESSH
Sonoma, CA 95476
Phone: 707.933.2367
FAX: 707.935.6649
Cell: 510.385.3116
F A Woman-Owned Business
This a-mail may contain confidential and privileged material for the sole use of the intended recipient.Any review or distribution by
others is strictly prohibited If you are not the intended recipient please contact the sender and delete all copies.
From: Lori Duncan [EH] (ma!Ito*Iduncan@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2006 3:52 PM
` To: Murphy, Mike
Cc: dlbrown@shellopus.com; Margaret Lagorio [EH]
Subject: RE: 2375 W. Grantline Road, Tracy VACOPS
Mike, I would not agree with this at this time. The batch extractions were started before I was given the site but it
is my understanding they are being done to try and, more or less, hold the plume onsite as much as possible due
to the unlikely possibility of continuing the investigation to the northldowngradient direction. We do not want to
see the concentrations start to increase. Current concentrations may not seem bad compared to what they
started at, but they are still too high for closure consideration.
The monthly batch extractions should continue until Shell decides on a final remediation alternative.
Thank you,
Lori Duncan
(209)468-0337
I
4/20/2007
