CHRONOLOGY <br /> GRANTLINE GAS & FOOD <br /> 2420 GRANT LINE ROAD <br /> TRACY CA 95376 <br /> 05/20/93 Piping from the underground storage tank system removed this date. Soil <br /> samples were collected for analysis. Contamination reported of up to <br /> 12 ppm TPHg and 9.8 ppb benzene. <br /> 06/30/93 Three underground storage tanks removed this date under permit and <br /> inspection by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. <br /> Soil and one grab groundwater sample were collected for analysis. <br /> Contamination roported of up to 360 ppm TPHg and 75 ppb benzene in <br /> the soil; 100,000 ppb TPHg and 72 ppb benzene in the grab groundwater. 4, <br /> No analysis for MtBE was performed. <br /> 07/26/93 Unauthorized Release Report#93-U38 and Prop 65 #93-105 were <br /> submitted this date. <br /> 01/05/94 Five soil borings advanced this date, three were converted to monitoring F <br /> wells. Petroleum.hydrocarbon contamination to groundwater and to 10 feet <br /> bsg in soil was reported; see "Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring First <br /> Quarter 9994"dated May 18, 1994. <br /> 12/06/94 Four soil borings advanced this date, one was converted to a monitoring <br /> well. Further impact to groundwater and to 15 feet bsg in soil was <br /> reported; see "Quarterly Report_December 1994"dated March 6, 1995. <br /> 02/26/96 Two additional monitoring wells were installed this date, and one <br /> previously installed well was reinstalled due to damage from street <br /> construction. See "Quarterly Report—March 1996"dated <br /> April 15, 1996. <br /> 01/19/99 Two additional monitoring wells installed this date. See "Quarterly Report— <br /> March 1999"dated May 10, 1999. <br /> 1994 — Routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling has been <br /> present conducted at this site since 1994. Reported concentrations have. <br /> decreased over time, with the exception of MtBE which is increasing in <br /> the offsite, cross gradient wells. This is likely due to an offsite source, <br /> the LUST site at 2360 Grant Line Road, which has begun it's own <br /> investigation. <br /> 10/20/03 Date of Closure Summary Report recommending closure of the site. <br />
