Grant Line Road wa's widened 20 feet and
lowered one to three feet from station 16+00 to 17+54 Ifrom Orchaed Restaurant to Carl's
Jr). During excavation of a trench for a sewerline, contaminated peagravel was discovered
at a depth of approximately seven feet, 10 feet east of the PG&E transformer located in front
of Carl's Jr. Excavation was halted, the trench was backfilled with clean material and the
contaminated material was stockpiled on Joe Toste's property. Contaminated pea gravel was
also encountered while digging a trench for PG&E utilities under the Carts Jr/Dik Tracy Gas
driveway, and while excavating for roadway grade in front of Dik Tracy_ This material was
also stockpiled on Toste property. The depth of the material encountered was at three to four-
feet,
ourfeet, and seemed to stop at this depth at the new curb and gutter.
If you have any questions, please call me at 836-9450. ,
Sincerely,
Scott Perry
Resident Engineer
cc: Paul Verma
01.015.006
