(GTI),to discuss the results from ali previous environmental investigations
and to formally request case closure.
During their review of data from previous investigations,GTI concluded that adequate investigation has
been performed at the subject site. The petroleum hydrocarbons remaining in soil near the former UST
complex have been fully defined and are minimal in mass. Results of groundwater monitoring performed
over one full hydrologic cycle have demonstrated that there are no leachable components remaining in the
residual hydrocarbon mass. Consequently,GTI and Chevron both feel that the site specific conditions
support case closure.Hopefully, San Joaquin County Public Health Services will concur.
Chevron is prepared to begin permitting for the proper abandonment of the monitoring wells onsite as
soon as approval of case closure is received from your agency. Until that time, future groundwater
monitoring will be suspended
If you have any questions or comments, you may contact Jason Fedota of GTI at(916)372-4700,or
myself at(510)842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.Hunter
Environmental Engineer
Site Assessment and Remediation
