(GTI), to describe the field activities and sample results
associated with the installation of two groundwater monitoring wells on June 21, 1994 at the
subject site.
Soil samples collected from both borings were analyzed for the presence of TPHGas and BTEX
constituents. One sample collected at ten feet below grade from well MW-2 detected low levels of
TPHGas and TEX constituents. There were no petroleum hydrocarbons detected from any of the
other soil sample intervals. These results, combined with previous findings, serve to define the
extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in soil within the vicinity of the former fuel
facilities.
Groundwater samples were obtained from all three site-related monitoring wells this month and
will be reported by Chevron's consultant, Blaine Tech Services, in their third quarter monitoring
report.
If you have any questions or comments, you may contact me at(510) 842-5695.
Sincerely,
/. l
Brett L.
