5431 Grant line Road, Banta, California April 7, 1994 <br /> Chevron USA Products Company Page 5 <br /> 3.6 Groundwater Sampling <br /> On January 6, 1994, monitoring well MW-1 and temporary wells TW-1 and TW-2 were sampled Prior to <br /> sampling, the wells were purged of approximately three well casing volumes The groundwater samples <br /> were collected using a teflon sampler cleaned with detergent and distilled water Due to sampling error, <br /> nnsate blanks were collected after sampling TW-2, instead of prior to sampling each temporary well <br /> Each sample was acidified, labeled, and placed on ice in an insulated container for delivery under <br /> chain-of-custody manifest to Superior The samples were analyzed for BTEX, TPH-G, and TPH-D by <br /> EPA methods 8024/modified 8015 Purge water generated during the sampling process was stored on <br /> site in DOT-approved 55-gallon drums <br /> 3.7 Temporary Monitoring Well Destruction <br /> On January 6, 1994, both temporary groundwater monitoring wells were destroyed in accordance with <br /> State of California Water Well Standards, Bulletin 74-81, Section 23 for monitoring well destruction <br /> After sampling the groundwater, the PVC casing was pulled and the bore hole was filled to grade with <br /> neat cement using 1-inch tremae pipe placed at the bottom of each borehole <br /> LJIA_� GROUNDWATER <br /> 4894EAR RPT _rl '7 TECHNOLOGY <br />
