Working To Restore Nature 1710 Main Street Escalon, CA 95320 Phone (209) 838-3507 FAX (209) 838-3509 November 9, 1992 NOY kIS 1ENVIRONME ry i-,t_ e .E�rfi fi Mr Steve Schneider PMI � R1lI�I San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division P O Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 RE Fourth Quarter 1992 Monitoring Report for J B Terminal 6700 Grantl>ne Road, Tracy, California Dear Steve On October 15, 1992, groundwater monitoring was conducted at the above referenced site on wells MW1, MW2, MW3, MW4 and MW5 (Figure 1) Dunng monitoring, the depths to water were measured, the wells were purged and samples were collected pursuant to RESNA's Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan Well purge logs and monitoring data are included in Attachment 1 Groundwater elevations have dropped an average of 3 45 feet in the wells since the July 1992 monitoring Groundwater monitonng data is summarized in Table I The gradient was calculated to be in a north-northeast direction at 0 004 ft/ft, which is consistent with previous gradients (Figure 2, Groundwater Gradient Map) Samples collected were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) utilizing EPA method 5030/802018015 Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in monitoring well MWi in the following concentrations 3,200 µg/1 TPHG, 0 81 µg/f toluene, 76 µgli ethylbenzene, and 12 µg/P xylenes In monitoring well MW4 1000 µglf TPHG, 0 84 µg/1' benzene, 1 1 µglf toluene and 3 0 µg1 f xylenes were detected No petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were present above method detection limits in monitoring wells MW2, MW3 or MW5 Analytical data is presented in Table 2 The laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are included in Attachment 2 Laboratory analyses were conducted by RESNA Environmental Laboratories , Cal EPA, ELAP Certification No 1211 QR101592 FNL
