Terminal
Company, 6700 Grantline Road, Tracy, California
Dear Mr. Schneider
This letter is an addendum to RESNA Industries' (formerly WaterWork Corporation)
Preliminary Report/Work Plan for Investigation of Soil Contamination at the above referenced
site dated August 15, 1990. The purpose of the proposed investigation is to further document
current conditions of groundwater impacted by gasoline hydrocarbons beneath the site to
delineate the extent of contaminant migration. RESNA proposes to install two additional
groundwater monitoring wells at the site and to include the new wells in the on-going quarterly
monitoring program with the existing wells at the site All field methods and procedures will
be performed in accordance with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan in Attachment I
and the Health and Safety Plan in Attachment 2 RESNA will proceed with the proposed field
work upon approval from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) An
application for permit and a check for $89 00 is included as Attachment III.
BACKGROUND
J B Terminal Company/Blincoe Trucking operates a trucking facility located at 6700 Grantline
Road, Tracy, California (Figure 1) In September, 1987, two 550 gallon underground fuel
storage tanks were removed from the facility The tanks were used to store leaded and unleaded
gasoline. On October 22, 1990, three soil bonngs were advanced to depths of 25.5 to 26 3 feet
below grade The borings were subsequently completed as groundwater monitoring wells MW-
1, MW-2, and MW-3 Laboratory analysis of soil and groundwater samples collected from the
bonng/wells indicated that gasoline hydrocarbons have impacted subsurface conditions.
At the request of SJCPHS, RESNA proposes the following tasks to further assess the lateral
extent of groundwater contamination beneath the site:
WPO20392 SAY
