The <br /> exact location and number of borings at each site will be <br /> determined in the field by the Project Geologist/Engineer. <br /> Prior to arriving at the sample site, the drill rig/augers <br /> will be steam cleaned and all sample equipment will be <br /> cleaned. Cleaning will be conducted on-site on all sampling <br /> equipment between each sample interval. <br /> Soil samples will be obtained using a California modified <br /> split-spoon sampler containing three, six inch long, two <br /> inch diameter brass tubes. The sampler will be driven 18 <br /> inches ahead of the hollow stem auger by a 140 pound hammer <br /> with a 30 inch drop it accordance with American Society for <br />
