FAWMA%A R!SNA rtompiny frit rronnsc nf31 SaluhonS Through Apprised Sc relic e fngsneersng A f orr,trW hon 1710 Main Strut I m Alun CA 95120 Phone (209) HIS 3507 ,g f ,ix 1209) 818-3509 October 23. 199: Mr Steve Schneider San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division P O Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 RE Fourth Quarter Monitoring Report for J B Terminal 5700 Grantline Road, Tracy, California Dear Steve On October 9, 1991, groundwater monitoring was conducted at the above referenced site on wells MW1, MW2, and MW3 (Figure 1) During monitoring, the depths to water were measured, the wells were purged and samples were collected pursuant to RESNA/WaterWork"s (RESNA) Quality Assurance/Quality Control flan (Attachment 1) Well purge logs are included in Attachment 2 Depth to water has decreased approximately 1 44 to 1 49 feet in all wells since the July 1991 monitonrg Groundwater monitoring data is summarized in Table 1 The gradient was calculated, using a computer Kriging program, to be in a north-northeast direction at 0 009 ftift, which is consistent with previous gradients (Figure 2, Groundwater Gradient Map) Samples collected were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) utilizing EPA method 5030/8020/8015 Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in monito ing well MW1 at the following concentrations 1,100 Ag/f TPHG, 8 1 Agit benzene, 1 3 µglf toluene, 84 Ag/f ethylbenzene, and 80 Ag/f xylenes No petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected above method detection limits in monitoring wells MW2 or MW3 At your direction, a sample was also collected from the on-site industrial supply well and analyzed for BTEX and TPHG No constituents were present above method detection limits Analytical data is presented in Table 2 The laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are included in Attachment 3 JUT1023%%P
