(Blaine tech),to describe the results of groundwater.monitoring that was performed at
the subject site on February 22, 1996-
During their February site visit.Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all four,site-related wells. The measured.
direction of groundwater flow was toward the southwest. Groundwater samples from all four-wells were -
analyzed for the presence of TPHGas,BTEX.constituents, and MTBE. In addition,-samples from well
MW-3 were analyzed for TPHDiesel;halogenated volatile organic.compounds(14VOC's), semi-volatile
organic compounds(SVOC's),and dissolved metals. There.were no detectable concentrations of
petroleum hydrocarbons measured at any well. A single.detection(4.5 ppb)of MTBE was measured'at
well MW 2. Trace concentrations of tetrachloroethene were detected at well MW-3. No SVOC's were
detected. The measured concentration of dissolved Zinc at MW-3 is thought to be representative of
background levels. All other metals were non-detect:These analytical results, were presented in Blaine
Tech's report dated June 7, 1996, which has already been submitted to your agency.
I apologize for the late transmittal of this report. If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached"
at(510) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.Hunter
Environmental Engineer
Site Assessment and Remediation
