Hain Lane, Lodi, CA
Attached UST Removal and Overexcavation Soil Sampling Report (Touchstone, 712/96)
q Attached UST and Rinsate Disposal Documentation I
Attached Soil Disposal Documentation
1
I
Dear Mr. Knoll:
l Please find attached a report dated July 2, 1996, which was prepared by Chevron's consultant, Touchstone
Developments(Touchstone), to describe field activities and soil sampling results associated with
underground storage tank(UST)removal and soil excavation activities at the subject site during April,
1996. Touchstone's report documents the removal of four UST's and associated product piping, soil
stockpile sampling and disposal, and soil remediation activities in the vicinity of the former waste oil
UST. The analytical results of soil samples obtained beneath each UST and at the final limits of the
former waste oil tankpit overexcavation indicate that no further sources of groundwater contamination
remain at the subject site. As such, Chevron recommends that this site be considered for case closure. Do
( you concur?
Attached you will also find copies of Hazardous Waste Manifests 95895165, 95898211, and 95898212
i which document the proper handling and removal of four UST's and associated tank rinsate. In addition,
a copy of BFI's Vasco Road Sanitary Landfill invoice number 96051-1-1013986 has been attached to
document the receipt of approximately 1;438 tons of soil that was generated at the subject site during
overexcavation activities.
Hopefully, the provided information will allow your agency to fully consider this site for case closure. I
will be interested in your decision regarding that consideration. If you have any questions or comments, 1
can be reached at (510) 842-8695.
1 Sincerely,
Brett L.
