Ham Lane Lodi CA
Attached Groundwater Monitoring Report(Blaine Tech;617196)
Dear Mr. Knoll: `
Please find attached.a report dated June 7,'1996,which:was prepared by Chevron's consultant,Blaine
Tech Services, Inc. (Blaine tech), to describe the results of groiitidwater monitoring_that was performedat
the subject site on May 15,-1996.
During their.May site visit Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all three site-related welis..Former
monitoring well MW-3 was abandoned on April i8;'1996.The measured direction of groundwater flow
was toward the southwest. This was-consistent with previous measurements. All,groundwater samples
were analyzed for the presence of TPHGas,BTEX constituents, and MTBE. In addition, samples from
well MW=4 were analyzed for,TPHDiesel dissolved metals; semi-volatile organic compounds(SVOC's),
and halogenated volatile organic compounds(I"C's). There were no detectable concentrations of motor
fuel hydrocarbons at any of the wells.-There were detectable concentrations of MTBE measured at wells
MW-1 and MW-2 however, the measured levels were below those relating to the taste and odor
thresholds..A detection of 0.84 ppb TCE was, measured in the sample from well MW-4. This'trace
detection was consistent with those previously detected at former well MW73 and is less than-the MCL for
this compound(5.0 ppb). The measured concentration of dissolved Zinc at MW-4 is thought to be
representative of background levels. All other metals were non-detect.'
The measured concentrations of dissolved contaminants in groundwater beneath the subject.site have been
consistently low or non-detect- The former source areas for, these contaminants-have;all been removed or
remediated. As such,Chevron recommends that this case be.considered for closure. To assist with this
consideration, all'pending reports will'be submitted to your agency on or before,June 30, 1996.
If you have any questions or comments, I'can be reached at(510) 84278695.
Sincerely,
