ConocoPhillips S E C <br /> Tosco Service Station #5447 <br /> August 20, 2003 <br /> Page 2 <br /> tert amyl methyl ether [TAME], di-isopropyl ether [DIPE], 1,2-dichloroeathane [1,2-DCA], ethylene <br /> dibromide [EDB], and ethanol) by EPA Method 82608 <br /> All analyses were reported as not detected at or above the laboratory reporting limit Soil analytical <br /> data is presented in Table 1 Locations of the samples are shown on Figure 2 Field and laboratory <br /> procedures are included as Attachment A Certified analytical laboratory reports and chain-of- <br /> custody documentation are included as Attachment B <br /> STOCKPILED SOIL <br /> Approximately 11 cubic yards of soil generated during the removal of underground facilities was <br /> stockpiled onsite Two four-point composite soil samples, SP-1(A-D) and SP-2(A-D) were collected <br /> and analyzed for TPHd, TPHg, BTEX, MtBE, by EPA 8260 and total lead by EPA 6010 TPHd was <br /> reported in samples SP-1(A-D) and SP-2(A-D) at concentrations of 10 mg/kg and 23 mg/kg, <br /> respectively TPHg, BTEX, MtBE, and lead were reported as not detected at or above the laboratory <br /> reporting limit The stockpiled soil was hauled to Forward Landfill, in Manteca, California for disposal <br /> WELL ABANDONMENT <br /> One UST observation well was abandoned on August 8, 2003, in accordance with San Joaquin <br /> County requirements The UST observation well was constructed with 4-inch pvc casing to a total <br /> depth of 13 5 feet bgs The well was backfilled with concrete cement The well was then capped <br /> with concrete to match existing surface <br /> Well abandonment activities were performed by Cascade Drilling of Rancho Cordova, California, a <br /> state-licensed well driller, and were observed by SECOR staff and Harlin Knoll, R E H S from the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the results of soil sampling during the vent line replacement, no petroleum impact was <br /> noted Based on the above information no additional assessment appears warranted in the area of <br /> the vent fines at this time <br /> i <br /> v, <br /> L <br />
