Task 2 - Well Installation
The proposed ground water monitoring well will be installed to a depth of approximately 50 feet
with the screened interval extending from 35 to 50 below ground surface (bgs). The well will
be placed on the Parkwoods Shopping Center property approximately 10-feet south of the Arco
monitoring well (MW-5), as shown on Figure 1. Well installation procedures are attached.
Task 3 - Well Development and Sampling
The new well will be developed using a bailer or suitable pump. Development will be conducted
for about 2 to 3 hours or until the water is relatively sediment free. Development water will be
contained in 55-gallon drums that will be stored in an area designated by site management.
Following development, the well will be sampled using a Teflon bailer. Samples will be
decanted from the bailer into appropriate sample containers, labeled, and placed in a cooled
container for transport to the laboratory under chain-of-custody control. Sampling equipment
will be cleaned prior to sampling.
Samples will be analyzed for TPHg using EPA Method 5030/GCFID and BTEX using EPA
Method 8020.
Task 4 - Report Preparation
Within two weeks of receiving the analytical results, we will submit a report describing the
investigation and results of the laboratory analyses. Ground water analysis will be submitted
under one week turnaround and verbal results will be provided as soon as they are available.
We will provide the above referenced tasks as part of our proposal dated April 25, 1995 and
authorized by you on April 1-7, 1995. The work will be conducted under the General Conditions
and Schedule of Charges presented with the proposal.
L198G PM=L.IuQ8988
5-17-95
