APPENDIX A <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REPORTING <br /> AT <br /> SITES CONTAMINATED <br /> BY <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK RELEASES <br /> i <br /> L0_ INTRODUCTION I l Authority <br /> Appendix A to the Tri-Regional Board Staff The authority for Regional Board and Lead <br /> Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation Agencies to direct UST investigations is found in <br /> and Evaluation of Underground Storage Tank Sites the following <br /> (Tri-Regional Recommendations)provides <br /> recommendations from Region 5 (Central Valley • Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act <br /> RWQCB) staff for reporting work for site (also known as the California Water Code <br /> investigations,corrective actions, and no further Section 13000 ff}, <br /> action required documentation associated with <br /> leaking underground storage tank(UST) sites • The Water Quality Control Plan(Basin <br /> Adherence to recommendations in Appendix A Plan)for the California Regional Water <br /> facilitates efficient regulatory review of Quality Control Board, Central Valley <br /> investigations and cleanups at UST sites and Region(Sacramento River Basin, San <br /> assures compliance with UST Regulations found in Joaquin River Basin and Tulare Lake Basin <br /> CCR Title 23, Chapter16 —current editions),which include beneficial <br /> use designations, water quality objectives <br /> Recommendations in Appendix A and implementation plans (especially the <br /> Policy for Investigation and Cleanup of <br /> • Provide a format for consistency of Contaminated Sites), <br /> documents, <br /> • State Board Resolution No 68-16, <br /> • Reduce cost of reporting to dischargers and Statement of Policy with Respect to <br /> the UST Cleanup Fund by providing the Maintaining High Quality Water in <br /> dischargers and environmental consultants California <br /> with information for developing complete <br /> workplans and reports .
