Winston 4183 <br /> Stockton,CA <br /> ' August 8,2002 <br /> 1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> This report presents the results of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and a Phase II Limited Subsurface <br /> Investigation(ESA) of Winston Tire Systems Store #183, located at 1648 East Hammer Lane,in Stockton, <br /> San Joaquin County,California. SECOR conducted this ESA in accordance with the Scope of Work presented <br /> ' in Goodyear's September 28, 2001, Combined Phase 1 and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment <br /> Specification. The Phase I portion is based,in part,on the American Society of Testing and Materials(ASTM) <br /> Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments:Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment Process, <br /> ASTMDesignation E1527-00(ASTM Practice E1527-00). <br /> The objective of the ESA is to complete a due diligence investigation to evaluate the environmental condition <br /> ' of the Site in order to establish an environmental baseline at the time of the change of status. The Phase II <br /> Limited Subsurface Investigation was designed to evaluate whether there was evidence that the property had <br /> been environmentally impacted and whether remediation of the impacted area may be required under local, <br /> State or Federal regulations. <br /> Messrs. Frank Gegunde and Sean Coyle conducted this ESA. Messrs. Ross Simmons, Jack Hardin, and <br /> ' Dennis Middleton reviewed the ESA. All are experienced professionals in the field of related environmental <br /> investigations. <br /> ' SECOR's investigative activities began on June 12, 2002 and concluded on July 16, 2002, with the Site <br /> reconnaissance occurring on June 19, 2002. Mr. Coyle performed the Site reconnaissance.Mr. Tim Miller <br /> (Site manager)provided information regarding past and current usage. Mr.Miller provided access to the Site. <br /> ' Weather conditions during the reconnaissance were sunny and dry with ambient daytime air temperatures of <br /> approximately 85 degrees F.
