X993
7808 Kelley Drive ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
Stockton, CA 95207 PERMITISERVICES
Subject: Subsurface Site Assessment
200 West Harding Way, Stockton, California
Mr. Hull:
RESNA Industries Inc. (RESNA), is submitting this letter report to summarize drilling activities
associated with a Subsurface Site Assessment at 200 West Harding Way, in Stockton, California
(Plate 1). The investigation was requested by W.T. Hull and Co., Inc.
The site currently is occupied by an office building and associated asphalted parking area. It
is.our understanding that the site previously was occupied by a retail fueling station and included
underground fuel storage tanks (USTs). The USTs were presumably removed in accordance
with appropriate regulations prior to construction of the existing structure. The location of the
USTs, dispenser island, and lubrication facility were determined using photographs and verbal
communication with the former property owner by W.T. Hull and Co., Inc.
FIELD METHODS
To investigate potential soil impaction by the former USTs, RESNA advanced four angle borings
and one vertical boring in the vicinity of the existing structure, as shown on Plate 2. The angle
borings were advanced at an angle of 45' from vertical and samples were collected at
approximately 21 and 35 feet along the bore length (15 and 25 feet below surface grade) to
determine soil conditions beneath former potential release locations. Soil samples were collected
from the vertical boring at depths of 15.5 and 25.5 feet below grade. A planned angle boring
located in the northeast corner of the property was not advanced due to heavy street traffic and
associated safety considerations.
SR-1093.FNL
n
