The samples were immediately placed <br /> on ice for transportation to the laboratory under chain-of-custody <br /> documentation. <br /> Two soil samples were collected from the native soil beneath each <br /> tank. One soil sample was collected from beneath the area where <br /> the fuel dispensers were located. Nine discrete samples were <br /> collected from the stockpiles. <br /> The soil samples were submitted to and tested by Superior Precision <br /> Analytical, a State of California, Department of Health' Services <br /> certified testing. laboratory. Analytical testing was scheduled in <br /> accordance with the State of California, Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board and San Joaquin County Guidelines. <br /> The soil samples were tested for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as <br /> diesel (TPH-d) , Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) , <br /> and Volatile Aromatics (BTXE) as indicated on the Chain-of Custody <br /> I <br /> Form. The analytical test data for the soil samples, along with <br /> the Chain-of-Custody Forms are presented in Appendix C. i' <br /> , I Chemical analysis of the soil samples taken from the excavation <br /> 1 <br /> indicated unacceptable. concentrations of contaminants in two <br /> ILAI <br /> locations. , Sample 03-E contained concentrations of`' BTEX as <br /> �,�✓ follows: Benzene at .047 ppm (parts per million) , Toluene at .070 <br /> i . <br />
