The work will be conducted in accordance with the December 9, 2010 <br /> Corrective Action Plan, which was approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) in correspondence dated March 17, 2011. A check in the amount of$610.00 (check #20997) was <br /> already sent to and received by your office on July 1,2011. <br /> Groundwater injection wells IW 1 and IW2 will be installed at the site in order to inject hydrogen peroxide <br /> into the subsurface to remediate soil and groundwater contamination beneath the site. The workscope <br /> consists of installing two groundwater Injection wells at the location shown on Figure 2. The wells will be <br /> installed by V&W Drilling, Inc (C57-720904) using a drill rig equipped with 10-inch diameter hollow stem <br /> augers. The two injection wells will be installed at a depth of 50 feet below grade, with 4-inch diameter, <br /> schedule 40 PVC casing,with 20 feet of 0.1-inch slotted screen. A filter pack consisting of pea gravel will be <br /> installed from the bottom of the screened interval to approximately 2 feet above the screen interval (28 to 50 <br /> feet below grade). Three feet of hydrated bentonite pellets will be installed from 25 to 28 feet below grade. <br /> The remaining annulus (0 to 25 feet below grade) will be backfilled with neat cement grout, which will be <br /> installed through a tremie pipe system. The wells will be completed with locking well caps and traffic rated <br /> well boxes. <br /> You will be provided with at least 48-hours notice prior to conducting fieldwork.
