Hammer
Lane, Stockton, CA
Soil and groundwater contamination is present at the above
referenced site and threatens the water quality of numerous
nearby drinking water wells . The full extent of contamination
has not yet been identified and further subsurface investi-
gation needs to be performed. Submit a PAR work plan by
July 16 , 1990 .
The PAR work plan must include how you propose to define the
extent of soil and groundwater contamination including
location of proposed monitoring wells and borings , sampling
and analysis methods , and monitoring well construction and
development. In order to determine if more soil borings are
needed, the work plan is to include compilation of all the
existing soil sampling data in a map and/or cross-sectional
form. A large amount of contaminated soil exists on-site both
in the subsurface and stockpiled above ground. A Soil
Remediation Proposal ( SRP) using Regional Board Staff
Recommendations for Initial Evaluation and Investigations
of Underground Tanks , Appendix A, pages A-3 through A-5 is
to be incorporated into the PAR work plan.
If the PAR work plan is acceptable, necessary permits to
conduct the work will be issued by this office. The PAR is
to be prepared in the format specified in the Regional Board
Staff Recommendations for Initial Evaluation and Investigation
of Underground Tanks , Appendix A, pages A-7 through A-9 . The
PAR is to be submitted to this office and the California
Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) by October 1, 1990 .
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services Okft
