Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Third Quarter 1991 Monitoring Report, Knowles Property, 1140 Wes[ Hammer
Lane, Stockton, CA 95207
Dear Harlan:
sarterly monitoring was conducted at the above referenced site(Figure
On September 11, 1991,q
1). These activities included measuring depth to water and purging and sampling of all wells.
The depth to first water at the site had dropped approximately 1.1 feet since the June monitoring 3
event. The groundwater gradient was consistent with previous monitoring and is in an easterly
direction at 0.003 ft/ft. (Table 1). A groundwater gradient plot created using a kriging program
is shown on Figure 2. Monitoring data is contained in Attachment 1.
All wells at the site, with the exception of MW and MW3, which were dry, and well MW5
which contained free product, were purged and sampled. The groundwater samples were
analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes(BTEX),and total petroleum hydrocarbons
as gasoline(TPHG). Samples were sent to Applied Analytical Laboratories (DHS cert. #1211)
for analysis. Sample collection was conducted in accordance with WaterWork`s Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix 11, October 25, 1990 Workplan). Laboratory data
sheets and chain-of-custody documenEtion are contained in Attachment 1.
Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in monitoring well MW2 and MW4.
