IFEASIBILITY STUDY REPORT <br /> Knowles Property <br /> 1140 West Hammer Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Mr Carl Knowles, Ground Zero Analysis, Inc (Ground Zero) has prepared this <br /> Feasibility Study Report (FSR) to evaluate the feasibility of remedial action alternatives for the subject <br /> site This FSR summarizes previous environmental work and available data, evaluates remedial <br /> alternatives for groundwater at the site, presents recommendations for remediating groundwater <br /> underlying the site that has been contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, and describes the <br />' proposed method for groundwater remediation <br />' 20 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> The Knowles property is located in a commercial area at the southwest corner of the intersection of <br /> lie West Hammer Lane and Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California, as shown on the Site Location Map <br /> (Figure 1) The site is currently a vacant lot, but previously operated as a retail gasoline facility which <br /> distnbuted regular, unleaded, and premium unleaded gasoline The fuels were stored in four 6,000- <br /> gallon and two 12,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) The former USTs and associated <br /> piping are shown on Figure 2 <br />' <br /> 22 Proximity of Private, Municipal, and Irrigation Wells <br /> Ground Zero conducted a survey of potential receptors to impacted groundwater through <br /> evaluation of nearby domestic wells Information was obtained from San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) and the California Department of <br />' Water Resources (DWR) Thirty-five wells were identified in the vicinity of the Knowles <br /> property The closest well to the subject site is located at 7817 Thornton Road, approximately <br />' 300 feet southeast of the subject site This well is in the apparent down-gradient direction of the <br /> site and appears to be a domestic/supply well The well was identified through a visual field. <br />' reconnaissance of the immediate vicinity No well details were available through DWR The <br /> . available information on all wells identified in the vicinity of the site is summarized in Table 1 <br /> Known well locations are plotted on Figure 3 <br /> I <br />
