Dear Mr Knoll <br /> This report summarizes activities at the subject site (Figure 1) dunng the period April 1, 2001 <br /> through June 30, 2001 Activities during the second quarter included monitoring depth to water <br /> in all site wells, purging and sampling wells MW1, MW4, MW5, and MW8, and analyzing <br /> samples for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING <br /> An experienced Ground Zero technician measured the depth to groundwater in each site well on <br /> May 22, 2001 The depth to groundwater beneath the site ranged from 30 47 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) in well MW3 to 32 51 feet bgs in well MW6 Groundwater elevations in site wells <br /> rose an average of 0 17 feet between February 9, 2001 and May 22, 2001 The water table <br /> beneath the site lies above the screened intervals in all wells except MW3 Momtoring well <br /> construction details are summarized in Table 1 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in <br /> Table 2 <br /> The groundwater flow in the vicinity of the former USTs was generally in a southeasterly <br /> direction with a gradient of 0 006 ft/ft, or approximately 31 5 ft/mile A potentiometric surface <br /> fomap for May 22, 2001 is presented on Figure 2 <br /> Knowles hamlrepons/2gm2001 doc <br />
