rz <br /> GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. } f <br /> r <br /> 1714 Mage Street -- f <br /> Escalon, California 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> May 3, 2001 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> January 1, 2001 through March 31, 2001 <br /> Knowles Property, 1140 W Hammer Lane, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> This report summarizes activities at the subject site (Figure 1) during the period January 1, 2001 <br /> through March 31, 2001 Activities during the quarter included monitoring depth to water in all site <br /> wells, purging and sampling wells MW 1, MW3, MW4, MW5, and MW8, and analyzing samples for <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHg) <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING <br /> An experienced Ground Zero technician measured the depth to groundwater in each site well on <br /> February 9, 2001 The depth to groundwater beneath the site ranged from 30 64 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) in well MW5 to 32 61 feet bgs in well MW6 Groundwater elevations in site wells rose <br /> an average of 2 48 feet between November 14, 2000 and February 9, 2001 The,water table beneath <br /> the site lies above the screened intervals in all wells except MW3 "Monitoring wellconstruction detais <br /> l <br /> are summarized m Table I Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 2 ' <br /> The groundwater flow in the vicinity of the former USTs was generally in a southeasterly direction <br /> with a gradient of 0 007 ft/ft, or approximately 37 ft/mile A potentiometric surface map for February <br /> 9, 200I is presented on Figure 2 <br /> Monitoring wells MW1, MW3, MW4, NM5, and MW8 were sampled on February 9, 2001 A <br /> minimum of three well casing volumes of water was purged from each well prior to sampling The <br /> temperature, specific conductance, and pH of the water were measured and recorded wlule each well <br /> was purged of the required volume Purged groundwater was placed in labeled drums approved for, <br /> storage of liquid waste by the Department of Transportation (DOT) pending disposal Copies of field <br /> purge logs and water level measurements are included in Attachment A <br /> Knowles ham/reports/1 gm2001 doe <br />
