i t <br /> r GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Main Street - <br /> Escalon,California 95320-1927 t <br /> Telephone: (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile: (209)838-9883 - <br /> 4 - <br /> r�� <br /> July 31, 2000 <br /> r }'e <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Site Status Report, Second Quarter 2000 <br /> Knowles Property, 1140 W Hammer Lane, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> This report summarizes activities at the subject site (Figure 1) between April 1, 2000 and June 30, <br /> -� 2000 Activities during the quarter included monitoring depth to water in all site wells, purging <br /> and sampling wells MW1, MW4, MW5, and MW8, analyzing samples for benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> An experienced Ground Zero Analysis, Inc (Ground Zero) technician measured the depth to <br /> groundwater in each site well on May 2, 2000 The depth to groundwater beneath the site ranged <br /> from 29 51 feet below ground surface (bgs) in well MW3 to 31 60 feet bgs in well MW6 <br /> Overall, groundwater elevations rose an average of 1 50 feet The water table beneath the site lies <br /> above the screened intervals for all wells except MW3 Monitoring well construction details are <br /> summarized in Table 1 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 2 <br /> The groundwater flow at the time of measurement was generally to the southeast at gradient of <br /> 0 006 ft/ft A potentiometric surface map for May 2, 2000 is presented on Figure 2 <br /> t <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br /> Monitoring wells MW 1, MW4, MW5, and MW8 were sampled on May 2, 2000 A minimum of <br /> three well casing volumes of water was purged from each well prior to sampling The <br /> temperature, specific-conductance, and pH of the water were measured and recorded while each <br /> well was purged of the required volume Purged groundwater was placed in labeled drums <br /> �• approved for storage of liquid waste by the Department of Transportation (DOT) pending <br /> disposal Copies of field purge logs and water level measurements are included in Attachment A <br /> knowles hamlrepon%/2gm2000 doe <br />
