Activities this quarter included measuring depth
to water, purging, and sampling of the wells
Groundw t r Monitorin
The field work for this investigation was performed on December 15, 1992. The water table
elevation has risen an average of 19 feet since the last monitoring event in September 1992.
The groundwater flow direction on December 15 was generally easterly with a hydraulic gradient
averaging 0 002 ft/ft. This gradient is consistent with previous monitoring events. A
groundwater gradient map is included as Figure 2. Monitonng data is summarized in Table 1
Monitoring data and well purge logs are contained in Attachment 1.
Sampling Methodology
Well MW-3 was dry, all other wells at the site, MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4 through MW-8 were
purged and sampled The groundwater samples were submitted to RESNA Environmental
Laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) and benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) utilizing EPA methods 5030/8015 and 8020,
respectively Sample collection was conducted in accordance with the site Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix II, October 25, 1990 WorkPlan)
QRTERLYAQR011593 FNL
