Working to Restore Nature 1710 Main Street Escalon, CA 95320 October 12, 1992 Phone (209)838-3507 FAX (209)838-3509 1 ti, �� P,�, 7 � J � Mr Harlan Knoll San Joaquin County Public Health Services 0 CT 14 1992 Environmental Health Division ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH P O Box 2009 PEkfV1iT/!5ERYIQF-0 Stockton, California 95201 RE: Third Quarter 1992 Monitoring Report, Knowles Property, 1140 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA Dear Harlan This letter report updates RESNA Industries' (RESNA's) activities during the third quarter of 1992 at the above referenced site (Figure 1) Activities this quarter included measunng depth to water, purging, and sampling of the wells Groundwater Monitoring The field work for this investigation was performed on September 17, 1992 The water table elevation was an average of 2 2 feet lower than during the last monitoring event in June 1992 The groundwater flow direction on September 17 was generally easterly with a hydraulic gradient averaging 0 005 ft/ft This gradient is consistent with previous monitoring events A groundwater gradient map is included as Figure 2 Monitoring data is summarized in Table 1 Monitoring data and well purge logs are contained in Attachment 1 Sampling Methodology Well MW-1 did not contain enough water for purging or sampling purposes and well MW-3 was dry, all other wells at the site, MW-2 and MW-4 through MW-8 were purged and sampled The groundwater samples were submitted to RESNA Environmental Laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) utilizing EPA methods 5030/8015 and 8020, respectively Sample collection was conducted in accordance with the site Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix Il, October 25, 1990 Workplan) QRTERLY\QR092892 FNL
