This report describes the field activities conducted following;
L the removal of one diesel fuel UST in November, 1993 from the KJAX Radio Transmitter,
Station located in Stockton, California.
r i
L
Site characterization activities were conducted to investigate the lateral and vertical extent
of diesel contaminated soil in the vicinity of the former UST. Investigative activities;' j
included advancing soil borings within and surrounding the former tank excavation. A total!
of 36 soil samples and one groundwater sample were collected, during the site;
characterization activities. Detectable concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons3
(TPH) as diesel less than 100 mg/Kg (parts per million-ppm) were found in soil samples
collected from borings near and within the north end of the former tank excavation.'
Groundwater was encountered in one boring at a depth of 76.5 feet below ground surface)
(bgs). No detectable concentrations of TPH as diesel, TPH as gasoline, and benzene,'
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) were reported for the groundwater sample.;
;i
t
r
L
I  `
' 8054/FEMAWAXPIflR.RPr/8-24-95 SAC ES-1
