Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-93oRa P <br /> 209/468-3420 (( f <br /> ALAN GRAFT <br /> CHIEF ENGINEER SLED APR 2 3 199E <br /> KJAX RADIO <br /> 110 N EL DORADO ST <br /> STOCKTON CA 95201 <br /> RE: 5451 E HARDING WAY <br /> STOCKTON CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) has <br /> completed the review of the"Workplan for Remedial Activities"dated February 23, 1996, <br /> submitted by Woodward-Clyde Federal Services, and offers the following comments for your <br /> consideration. <br /> PHS-EHD has determined that the diesel contaminated soil identified at the site does not pose a <br /> significant risk to the groundwater underlying the site or to other exposure pathways given current <br /> site conditions and uses. However, PHS-EHD understands that the proposed scope of work will <br /> be voluntarily performed to mitigate any risks to future uses the contamination may pose. <br /> The scope of work as proposed in the above noted workplan appears to be sufficient to abate the <br /> contamination to levels that are protective of expected future risk considerations. PHS-EHD has <br /> performed public participation for this site, as required by the California Code of Regulations, Title <br /> 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Section 2728, by posting a "Notice of Findings" in the public notice <br /> area of our office. A copy of this notice is enclosed for your files. <br /> The proposed work can be scheduled to begin at any time.
