HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> 10) June 23, 1998 <br /> Mr Joe Aldridge <br /> Ultramar Inc <br /> 525 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 <br /> Sub ectUARTERLY GROUNDWATER R MONITORING REPORT <br /> First Quarter - 1998 <br /> Beacon Station No 641 <br /> 1210 East Hammer Lane, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Aldridge <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Report which presents results for the first quarter 1998 monitoring activity for the above- <br /> referenced site (Figure 1) There are currently five groundwater monitoring wells, MW-1 <br /> through MW-5 and one sparge well, SW-1, associated with this site MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, <br /> and MW-5 are onsite monitoring wells, while MW-2 is an offsite monitoring well (Figure <br /> 2) <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were obtained from all the monitoring wells by Doulos <br /> Environmental (Doulos) on March 31, 1998 (see Table 1) Static groundwater levels were <br /> measured from the top-of-casing (TOC) of each well and recorded to the nearest 0 01 foot <br /> Water level measurements were subtracted from reference TOC elevations to obtain water <br /> elevations, as listed in Table 1 Ultramar Field Procedures are presented as Attachment A, <br /> and Doulos Sampling Information Sheets are included as Attachment B <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from all five monitoring wells Collected samples <br /> were submitted under chain-of-custody (COC) to Kiff Analytical (Kxff), a California <br /> Department of Health Services-certified analytical laboratory (ELAN No 2236) located in <br /> Davis, California Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHg) utilizing modified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015, <br /> and for the volatile aromatics benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and <br /> methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) utilizing EPA Method 8020 Laboratory results are also <br /> summarized in Table 1 Copies of the laboratory reports and chain-of-custody are included <br /> as Attachment C <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway,Sute 7 - EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 a (916)939-2170 - FAX(916)939-2172 <br /> PO Box 5283 a Bakersfield CA 93388 a (805)589-8389 - FAX(805)589-1456 <br />
