Hammer Lane
Stockton, CA 95210
Corrective action (overexcavation) was performed at this site on November 23, 1992 under San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) oversight and verification soil
sampling was conducted.
Laboratory results received on December 22, 1992 indicate all contamination that poses a threat to
groundwater has been removed. The open tank pit may be backfilled with cleats soils and should be
compacted to standards accepted by the City of Stockton Building Department. Contaminated soils
currently stockpiled on-site should be transported off-site to Forward Landfill as per the "Workplan for
Excavation and Disposal at Toyota Town" dated June 1992, as submitted by Aqua Geosciences, Inc. and
approved by PHS/EHD. A report of the above work, including manifests for off-site transport of
contaminated soils, should be submitted to PHS/EHD upon completion of activities. Proper closure of the
remaining waste oil pipelines below the ground in the auto service area still needs to be addressed.
For exact piping closure requirements, please contact Tish Briggs, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3468.
r
Site mitigation/soil remediation questions should be directed to Michael Infurna, Senior REHS, at
(209) 468-3454.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
HealtZOIfficer
zl'P
fAC/Ml:lb
Manager
mental Health Division
c: CVRWQCB - Elizabeth Thayer
c: SWRCB - Susan Phillips
c: Jennifer Georger
1701 Westwind Dr., Ste. 101
Backersfield, CA 93301
c: Tish Briggs, Unit III, PHS/EHD
A Division of San Joaquin County Health rare Services
