We have been working to assure that all
subcontractors and permits are in order for the planned excavation. Today we learned that we need security and some additional
insurance to satisfy Penny Newman. We are also working on insurance and contract issues with the shoring contractor. The
shoring contractor also needs to give us stamped engineering drawings for the shoring. All of this work is taking a little longer than j
we thought so it looks like we will need one extra week to be sure all is in order before we start.
We do have the landfill established and the permit to discharge to the City of Stockton. The dewatering equipment is set as is the
excavator and the trucking firm. We are confident that work will be started at the end of next week or after Labor Day depending
upon the availability of the excavator to dig a trench for the shoring contractor. Right now the shoring contractor will need 4 to 5
days to complete their work, and then the excavation will begin.
We are doing our best to meet the schedule but some of these unexpected items are taking time: I wanted to keep you apprised
of our progress. Also, Dan and I would like to talk early next week with you. Is there a good time for that? Please let me know.
Linda
Linda L.
