E ,
U
I Cary of Stockton
A68109.OIB
July 18, 1997 Page 6
5.0 RESULTS AND FINDINGS
. Results of the field investigation and laboratory testing are summarized in the following
subsections.
5.1 Soil Profile: The soil profile beneath the site consisted of strata of: well graded, fine
to very coarse grain, silty sand with clay, and slightly plastic clay to a depth of 48 feet BSG,
the greatest depth explored. Descriptions of the conditions encountered in the soil borings
are presented in the logs of soil borings (Appendix Q.
The foregoing is a general summary of the subsurface conditions encountered in the soil
borings drilled for this investigation. Stratification lines on the soil boring logs represent
approximate boundaries between soil types. Actual transitions between soil types may be
gradual, and the interpretation of various soil types from soil cuttings is subjective.
5.2 Results of Field Screening: The results of the field screening with the PID are
summarized in Table 2.
{ L
TABLE'2
Summary of:PID Field Screening Results .
Sample F ocation, .
