I have prepared a brief summary of the meeting for your information. <br /> 1701 Washington - Fire Station#1 <br /> The City of Stockton agreed to proceed with the preparation and submittal of a piping closure-in-place plan. The piping <br /> closure plan will be submitted by September 1, 1997 and if it has not been completed,a request for due date extension <br /> will be submitted. The City of Stockton will evaluate the possibility that Twinning Laboratories prepare a brief closure <br /> report evaluating the remaining soil and groundwater contamination. The City of Stockton has requested that Twinning <br /> Laboratories submit all the information regarding the December 1996 field activities as outlined in PHS/EHD <br /> correspondence dated August 6, 1997. <br /> 1116 East First Street - Fire Station 93 <br /> The City of Stockton agreed to proceed with the preparation and submittal of the required work plan to continue the soil <br /> and groundwater investigation. The work plan will be submitted by September 15, 1996 and if not a status update report <br /> will be submitted. The City of Stockton has requested that Twinning Laboratories submit all the information regarding <br /> the December 1996 field activities as outlined in PHS/EHD correspondence dated July 31, 1997. <br /> 1767 West Hammer Lane - Fire Station#7 and 550 East Harding Way - Fire Station#9 <br /> PHS/EHD discussed the evaluation of the Twinning Laboratories reports which have been submitted. PHS/EHD agreed <br /> to finalize comment letters regarding these two sites no later than August 26, 1997. <br /> 2500 Nayy Drive - Municipal Utilities De artment <br /> The City of Stockton stated that a work plan for the well destruction would be submitted by Advanced GeoEnvironmental <br /> by August 22, 1997. <br /> Summary <br /> PHS/EHD appreciated the suggestion by City of Stockton staff to meet to discuss regulatory compliance issues,as well as <br /> future plans for various sites with work already in progress. The meeting successfully resolved some misunderstandings <br /> regarding underground tank piping abandonment proceedures. The City of Stockton staff indicated a desire to group sites <br /> together in work orders and as always, PHS/EHD is interested to reduce costs while facilitating compliance with <br /> applicable laws and regulations. In order to enhance communication, PHS/EHD concurs with the City of Stockton staff's <br /> suggestion to schedule meetings at important junctures.
