January 11, 1996 <br /> TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS <br /> REQUEST FOR QUOTES FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE A SOIL AND <br /> GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION "WORK PLAN" FOR CITY OF STOCKTON'S FIRE <br /> # 9 - REMOVED FUEL TANK SITES. <br /> STATION # 7 and , <br /> f The City of Stockton Public Works Department/Solid Waste Division is requesting soil and <br /> groundwater investigation Work Plan quotes for Fire Station # 7, located at 1767 West <br /> Hammer Lane and Fire Station # 9, located at 550 East Harding Way. (See attached plot i <br /> plan.) <br /> Background Information: <br /> On March 10, 1994 a five hundred gallon diesel fuel tank was removed at Fire Station # <br /> 7 and on November 7, 1990 a 550 gallon diesel tank removed at Fire Station # 9. <br /> Initial sample analysis taken indicated TPH and BETEX soil contamination at unsatisfactory <br /> levels. See attached analysis. <br /> Public Health Services is requesting samples be taken to determine the horizontal and <br /> vertical extent of the contamination. <br /> The Work Plan shall include the following: <br /> } <br /> The itemized per unit cost for: <br /> a) Monitoring wells (to 30' depth if water is encountered) including ground water <br /> test results. <br /> b) Determine the vertical and horizontal extent of soil contaminations. Angle drill <br /> and/or core drill as required to make determination. <br /> f <br /> c) Soil analysis tests for diesel as required by the San Joaquin County Health <br /> Department. <br /> I . <br />
