Soil <br /> excavation and remediation activities began on April 30, <br /> 1993 and aeration activities continued through to July 14, <br /> 1993 . <br /> SITE CONDITIONS <br /> The analytical reports from the Touchstone Developments <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL REPORT dated February 22, <br /> 1993 indicated residual- soil contamination existed in the <br /> vicinity of the former product line areas were the soil <br /> samples designated P-5 and P-6 were collected. <br /> SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Soil remediation involved the excavation and removal of <br /> hydrocarbon impacted soils from beneath the former product <br /> line areas . A Touchstone representative was on site to <br /> observe Golden West Builders perform excavation activities, <br /> segregate excavated soil into stockpiles, and collect <br /> samples from both, the excavation and stockpiles . Also, on <br /> site to observe excavation and sampling activities was <br /> representative Mike Infurna from Sn.: Joaquin County Public <br /> Health :services, Ervi.rronmental Health 'Division. <br /> Soil Sampling <br /> Verification soil samples desigliated PX-5 and Pk-6 were <br /> collected from the product line overexcavation bottom at <br /> approximately 5 feet below grade (figure 2 ) .
