-4-
As an extra precaution many real estate transactions require a records
search to determine the past history of a site and/or status of neighboring
properties . Contamination from neighboring properties can sometimes
migrate below a landowners site with the natural flow of ground water .
Contamination cases of this nature are generally on file at the Regional
Water Quality Control Board and are a matter of public record. Should your
company feel that a more thorough investigation of this nature is
necessary, MEC will assist you or refer you to an industrial hygienist .
CONCLUSIONS
TPH-gasoline, TPH-diesel and BTEX were not detected in soil for either the
shallow samples (B1-B4) or the 10-foot samples (B6-B9) from the tank pits.
These samples indicate the site is "clean" of fuel hydrocarbons at the
specific points sampled .
The analytical results should be forwarded to San Joaquin County (SJC)
Environmental Health Dept . as required by their permit; SJC also requested
a copy of our report. Please advise us if you would like us to do this for
you. We trust this report meets your needs. Please call if you have any
questions .
Sincerely,
C
Cinda Crabbe MacKinnon , R.G. , R.
