WALLACE • KUHL <br /> &ASSOCIATES INC <br /> May 2, 1996 <br /> Mr Hop Essick <br /> Granite Construction <br /> Post Office Box 151 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> GRANITE CONSTRUCTION FACILITY <br /> 10500 South Harlan Road <br /> French Camp, California 95231 <br /> WKA No 2088 05 <br /> Dear Mr Essick, <br /> ,1 <br /> We are submitting this quarterly groundwater monitoring report summarizing our <br /> recent work at the above-referenced site (Plate 1) The purpose of our work is to <br /> comply with quarterly sampling requirements requested by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and the San Joaquin County <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Public Health Services Department (SJCPHS) <br /> ' <br /> Engineering Geology <br /> On April 10, 1995, groundwater samples were obtained from the four monitoring <br /> Environmental Consulting wells (MW 1 through MW4) and one composite set of samples were obtained from <br /> the existing stockpile generated during the excavation of the former dispenser <br /> Remediation Services <br /> islands Prior to sampling, the wells were checked for visual signs of free product <br /> T Construction Inspection by using a clear, Teflon bailer When free product was not observed, the wells <br /> r were purged and sampled as described in Appendix A Stockpile soil sampling <br /> Materials Testing <br /> procedures are also described in Appendix A The groundwater samples were <br /> analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using EPA method <br /> t' <br /> 8015 modified and for Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes (BTEX) using <br /> l 3050 Industrial Blvd EPA method 602 In addition, monitoring well MW3 was also analyzed for <br /> West Sacramento Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) using EPA method 602 The composite <br /> CA 95691 stockpile soil sample was analyzed for TPH as diesel and BTEX using EPA <br /> Fax 916 372 2565 methods 8015M/8020 <br /> 916 372 1434 <br /> Recycled paper <br />
