This contract includes a provision for technical support by the <br /> California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCS )_ <br /> PHS/EHD has recently received a letter from the CVRWQCB that provides guidance on how to <br /> analyze for the oxygenated compounds in gasoline until a "definitive pratocol" can be <br /> established. Based on this letter, PHS/EHD is directing you to analyze samples from ail of <br /> your monitoring wells for Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Methyi Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) , Di- <br /> isopropyl ether (DIPS) , Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (ET BE) and Tertiary Amyi Methyl Ether <br /> (TAME) by EPA method 8260. PHS/EHD will require analysis of samples for Methanol and <br /> Ethanol where there is reason to believe that these compounds were stored in the underground <br /> tank(s ) . <br /> PHS/EHD requires quarterly sampling of ail wells where the presence of oxygenates is <br /> confirmed by EPA method 8260. Modmcation of this required sampling such as number of wells <br /> sampled, sampling frequency and method of analysis may be granted only after initial sample <br /> results are reviewed by PHS/EHD .
