I -
Mr. Will Smith Project 0805- 140.03
January 31 , 1996
i Page 2
present during drilling. Every effort will be made to keep the work area clean and to
restore the area to the original condition when the work is completed. We %ill contact you
to coordinate drilling operations and to determine which day of the week is most
convenient. Our tentative schedule for the construction of the monitoring wells is early
March 1996. Upon receipt of your authorization, we will schedule a date for our work and
will inform you of that date.
Once the wells are drilled and installed, an EMCON technician will periodically monitor and
maintain the wells for approximately 1 year, or as required by SJCPHS. After the wells are
no longer needed, the wells will be properly destroyed by drilling it out with a 10- to
124nch-diameter auger and backfilling the borehole with neat cement. The ground surface
will then be restored to resemble the surrounding ground material.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. As the Lincoln Properties representative,
please sign and return both copies to our office. We will forward both copies to
ARCO. ARCO will then sign both copies and will return one copy to you for your
files.
Please call if you have any questions about the work.
Sincerely,
EMCCON /
Claudio Avila Jaohnson
Project Geologist Senior Project Supervisor
Attachments : Figure 1 Area Site Map
Figure 2 Well Details Sample Sheet
j ARCO Products Company Access Agreement (two copies)
cc: Kyle Christie, ARCO Products Company
Mary Meays, San Joaquin County Public Health Services
it
SACV:IWMWILSMITH.ACC-95Wms:2
`i
P
