Installation of one shallow groundwater monitoring well up gradient to the former
tank pit area, labeled on the Addendum map as MW-11.
2. Installation of one shallow groundwater monitoring well at the location labeled on
the Addendum map as MW-10.
3. Installation of one shallow groundwater monitoring well directly east of VW-4, on
the east side of Brentwood Drive, SJCIEHD had originally directed this well be
located approximately 30 feet north of MW-7, but the location of a driveway
constricts this placement. The well should be located north of the driveway.
SJCIEHD does not approve installation of proposed shallow well MW-9. The site map
provided by SECOR indicates the proposed location of the well to be in an area of
landscape. The area is actually a raised cement planter attached to an apartment
building. Access for a drill rig in this area would be very limited; by the time a location
was situated the well would be too close to MW-7 to provide significant data on the
lateral extent of the plume. If, in time, another down gradient well is necessary, it will
have to be placed in the alley on the east side of the buildings that face Brentwood.
As you have been previously directed, please proceed with submittal of a San Joaquin
County Well Permit Application and required $89.00 permit fee for each parcel of land on
which drilling will be done, copies of required access agreements and/or encroachment
permits for offsite work, and with scheduling the approved work. Deadline for final
implementation of the approved scope of work is October 26, 2007. A report of findings
