TPHG, benzene, toluene, total xylenes, and MTBE were detected in
the sample collected from monitoring well MW-1 at concentrations of 60 gg/L, 4.4 µg/L, 5.5 µg/L, 4.0 µg/L,
and 1,100 µg/L, respectively. MTBE was detected in the samples collected from monitoring wells MW-2,
MW-5, and MW-6 at concentrations of 1.6 µg/L, 0.98 µg/L, and 0.53 pg/L, respectively. 1,2-DCA was
detected in wells MW-2 (1.6 µg/L), MW-5 (0.56 pg/!-), and MW-6 (7.6 Ptg/L).
As requested in the San Joaquin County Public Health Services' letter dated September 26, 2001, Delta
sampled vapor wells VW-1, VW-2, VW-3, VW-4, VW-5S, and VW-5D. TPHG was detected in well
VW-5D at a concentration of 1,400 pg/L. MTBE was detected in vapor wells VW-1, VW-3, and VW-4 at
concentrations of 0.68 µg/L, 0.72 µg/L, and 32 lig/L, respectively. TBA was detected in well VW-5D (890
pg/L). 1,2-DCA was detected in wells VW-1 (2.7 µg/L), VW-2 (0.80 µglL),VW-3 (2.5 µg/L), and VW-4 (5.3
W
gg/Q. Wells VW-1, V -2, VW-3, VW-4, and VW-5D were not purged prior to sampling because the
screened intervals in these wells are not submerged, and the wells were not purged during previous
sampling events. Free product was not found in vapor extraction well VW-5D during the first quarter
2002.
P AIARC0105481QTRLY120021Arr-o_0546_]Q02.doc Delta
